Words of wisdom from this mother to her daughter.
Selecting your colors for your wedding can be stressful. You want your bridesmaids to look good, you have a color in your head and the wedding designer/producer (me) keeps asking what’s your accent color? Is the color present in your save the dates, invites, menswear, dresses, flowers, linens? To reduce some of your stress I hope the following chart will help guide you in your selection. Phoebe Congratulations your engaged, you’ve set the date and now you’re about to compete in the Olympic sport known as wedding planning and like any athlete, you will need stamina, focus and the right training tools to get you to the finish line. Every bride will tell you that the key to a stress free wedding is a comprehensive wedding to do list. The key is to prioritize the things that are most important to you and your partner – and that goes for all aspects of wedding planning! We have put together a spreadsheet that will assist you along the way and help you in the initial stages of wedding budgeting as you estimate roughly how much each service/vendor is going to cost, right through to after you’ve booked your dream team of vendors and receive those ‘final payment due’ emails. This template is not a list of all the things you “should” have at your wedding but it’s a general starting point that will help you keep to your budget with the handy addition of a “difference” column – which calculates how much over or under your estimated budget you are.
